'Lorax' retains No. 1 box-office spot with $38.8M

In this film image released by Universal Pictures, animated character Lorax, voiced by Danny Devito, is shown in a scene from "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" held on as the No. 1 movie for the second-straight weekend with $38.8 million, easily beating the sci-fi newcomer "John Carter."
