Annual Vegas Dozen 2012 Event

Saks Fifth Avenue - On Wednesday, April 18, Saks Fifth Avenue will celebrate its annual Vegas Dozen 2012: The Men We Love and Why We Love Them. Twelve men from various backgrounds and professions who exemplify great personal and professional commitment to the community will be honored with the Vegas Dozen Award. The event, benefiting UC San Diego Nevada Cancer Institute, is in its ninth year.

This year’s honorees are Tony Berti, co-founder, Goodie Two Shoes; Chuck Bowling, president and COO, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino; Jeffrey Cummings, MD, SCD, director, Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health; Barry Dakake, executive chef, N9NE Steakhouse;Todd Duboef, president, Top Rank Boxing; Jason Feinberg, news anchor, FOX-5 TV; Rick Harrison, owner, Gold & Silver Pawn; Penn Jillette, entertainer; John F. O’Reilly, president and CEO, O’Reilly Law Group; Dave Rice, UNLV Runnin’ Rebels coach; Seth Schorr, CEO, Fifth Street Gaming; and Richard S. Worthington, president and COO, The Molasky Group.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Fashion Show Mall. Ms. Mercedes Martinez of MIX 94.1’s Mark and Mercedes radio show will return as mistress of ceremonies and present each honoree his award. Zowie Bowie will provide entertainment. Wild Truffles and Southern Wine & Spirits will be supplying the food and drinks for this special occasion.

The honorees’ wardrobe will be provided by Saks Fifth Avenue Las Vegas. Vegas Magazine, also a sponsor, will publish a group portrait of this year’s honorees in an upcoming issue.
